Our staff excels in UAV applications by
combining many years of experience in design, fabrication and
operation. UAV’s provide an economical alternative to full
scale flight tests and sub scale tunnel testing. Flight
characteristics such as stall/spin behavior and stability &
control can be obtained from large scale models. Foley Mfg.
recently built the airframe for a large, heavily instrumented
FA-18 E/F UAV that was successfully flown. The data gathered from
this project not only matched the wind tunnel data accumulated,
but provided valuable information for the flight control
system.
Desert Storm reinforced the value of
UAV’s for reconnaissance, artillery spotting, ECM and
chemical detection capabilities. Foley Mfg. was a supplier for
hardware in these operations, and this experience can be used to
your advantage
